St Aloysius' College is a Jesuit Independent school in the city centre of Glasgow. Founded in 1859,
the school serves families from all over the central belt including pupils who travel from Edinburgh, Stirling, Helensburgh and Ayr.
The school is one of two thousand Jesuit schools and universities worldwide with the shared vision
of "improvement in living and learning to the greater glory of God and for the common good"
(St Ignatius Loyola).
The school is academically selective and almost all pupils will study for five Highers in fifth year.
Pupils are usually admitted at Kindergarten (ages 3 or 4), P1 (age 5), P7 (age 11), S1 (age 12), and Sixth Year (age 17).
