Hamilton College is situated on the edge of the busy town of Hamilton, beside the racecourse,
with commanding views over the Clyde. The school was founded in 1983 by the late
Mr and Mrs Charles Oxley as a co-education Christian Independent School. In 1995 the Nursery School was opened.

Hamilton College operates fully within the Scottish education system and offers a broad - based education, with strong emphasis on basic skills of literacy and numeracy and leading to a wide range of examinations at Standard Grade, Higher and Advanced Higher levels.

Over 90% of pupils go on to Higher Education.
